I was in a meeting in Coke’s offices yesterday, and the poster on the wall read “If you haven’t seen this before, welcome to planet earth”, alongside a cropped pic of a Coke bottle. This is just what I love about brands — timeless, enduring, and constant.

This doesn’t mean standing still, however. Brands must evolve to keep with the times – tell a modern day narrative – while staying true to their essence and promise. And while a brand is way much more than just a logo, the brand’s logo is one of the most telling signs of the times. I love the evolution of these iconic brand logos.
