There’s a thing called The 27 Club; talented musicians who died at the age of 27. The list includes Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, Brian Jones, Jim Morrison, Amy Winehouse, and 54 others.
These people set a tone and a standard for their lives. They lived hard and they played hard and they didn’t settle. And their stars burnt so bright that they literally burnt out in their 27th year.
But their legacies live on as if they were still alive today. As the saying goes, “It’s not the years in your life, it’s the life in your years”.
