Why it’s hard to make a stand

The hardest thing about being an awesome brand is that you have to stand out from the crowd.

Whether it’s Brand YOU or whether it’s a company brand, the moment you “stand” for something you become a target for all of the other people who don’t like what you stand for. It just comes with the territory.

This is hard because every person and every company wants to be “liked”. Everyone wants to be popular. And that popularity comes at a BIG price = mediocrity. Popularity is for mediocre people, and mediocre brands.

So what DO you stand for? Here’s me asking an audience that question …
