People hate Mondays. The level of complaining on Monday mornings is so high.
In May 2002 PwC announced that its consulting activities would be spun off as an independent entity called “Monday”. It failed miserably and was abandoned a few months later. “Monday” as a brand name just carries too much negativity and baggage.
I don’t get the mentality of being head-down sad on a Monday morning. You know those people who live for weekends? They’re wishing their life away. Monday is one seventh of your life. That’s around 12 years of your life. Twelve years of Mondays that we just write off as a part of our life we hate.
What if I told you this was the last Monday morning of your life? Would you complain about your shit job? I doubt it. Your whole attitude and mindset would shift to a much higher level.
Take a step back and think about how awesome your world really is, and how every day is a day you get to be alive and do epic shit. And then recognise you can attack Monday in a totally different way.
Fuck you Monday. I’m going to make you Saturday.
